AI workflow for writing a proposal

Proposals take longer than they should because we start from a blank page. This workflow uses AI to handle the structure and the first draft so you can focus on the parts only you can write.

Step 1: Capture the brief

After the discovery call, dictate or type a quick brief covering the client, their situation, what they want, what they have tried and the budget signals you picked up.

Step 2: Generate a structure

Paste the brief into a general assistant and ask for a proposal outline tailored to the client. Tweak the sections until they match how you actually pitch.

Step 3: Draft each section

Work section by section, not the whole document at once. Give the assistant a prompt for each one with the right tone, length and any examples from past proposals.

Step 4: Refine

Read the full draft out loud. Cut filler. Replace anything generic with something only you would say. This is where the proposal becomes yours rather than the model's.

Step 5: Final polish

Ask the assistant to spot weak claims, missing context or unclear pricing. Fix what it flags. Send.
